Alice in Chains’s have just confirmed the release of their new album, ‘The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here”, set for release in May, 2013. It was revealed along with the first single from the upcoming album, entitled ‘Hollow‘.
Alice in Chains is one of my favourite metal bands. Something that they can easily be recognized for is, in my eyes, the amount of melody they bring into metal.
Guitarist Jerry Cantrell told Rolling Stone that an injury he obtained has delayed the recording of the album. “I had shoulder surgery. I had to get some bone spurs and torn cartilage taken care of, so that put me back a little bit. But we’ve been writing through the whole process.”
The new single is fantastic, and, if the rest of the album follows it, we could well be in for a real treat.
